Professor Croci Presents Bocconi’s SUR Atlas and MUSA Research at Expo 2025 Osaka

As part of Expo 2025 Osaka, the Italy Pavilion hosted the international workshop “4UniverCity Futures – The City of the Future” on May 30–31, 2025. The two-day event focused on how universities can drive innovation in urban sustainability and was held under the umbrella of MUSA – Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action, a key component of Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

During the session titled “The MUSA Project for the Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability of Milan’s University Districts”, Professor Edoardo Croci, SUR Lab Director at Bocconi University, presented the lab’s recent contributions to the MUSA Spoke 1 project. In particular, he presented the SUR Atlas, an open-access digital platform mapping best practices in urban regeneration. The SUR Atlas was highlighted as a successful outcome, both as a research product and a practical tool for policymakers and stakeholders involved in sustainable urban development.
